Do you know what your children are seeing right now on the net? A shocking (and creepy) campaign

This (the one below) is one of those images that you would like not to have seen because you know it can cause you nightmares. We save you the fright of seeing it on the cover. A shocking and shocking image that is part of a campaign to warn about the dangers that children lurk on the Internet.

Of course, it does not leave indifferent and its use has been limited to the network, because in the streets it was thought that it could hurt the sensitivity of the little ones. But, as I say, ours is not safe either. And that is precisely what their creators wanted.

A simple image can affect us deeply. A simple image on the Internet can affect children, who probably won't tell us anything. Hence the motto that accompanies the image: "Do you know what your children are seeing right now on the Internet?".

This campaign already has a few months but it has happened to me casually and the process has been that: an impact on photography that has made me go to see what it was. The objective was to alert, but the campaign ended up frightening and unleashing the controversy by the images so strong, that they replace the children's eyes with mouths and that really impact.

Every time I look at them I find them more unpleasant, both in their boy and girl version (you can see it here), typical of a horror movie and as I say protagonists of some nightmare.

The person responsible, together with the advertising company, is the Innocence in Danger organization ("innocence in danger") that warns of the risks of the network for the little ones and tries that they are protected of the barbarities that can be found by the network. And how is this done? Well, calling the attention of parents, no doubt.

Because we are the ones who have to educate our children in a responsible use of the internet and new technologies, also warning them of the dangers that they can entail. It is not a question of spying on them or watching them, as the motto of this campaign suggests, although it is worth watching how they navigate with the computer, the mobile ... prevent serious cases of cyberbullying, for example.

Do not allow the computer in the room or control the time they connect, limit the use of the mobile ... are some tips to prevent them from misusing the technologies.

In this line have been previous campaigns of Innocence in Danger, also quite impressive, with faces of possible abusers turned into emoticons or mobiles that "caress" children in their pockets. Because, who hides behind a "Like" or an emoticon in social networks?

What happens when looking at these photos is that, perhaps, they have "passed" and that an image produces terror or aversion can go against its first objective. In fact, at present I have not found traces of these images on the Innocence in Danger website, where we do find the other campaigns mentioned. Would you withdraw this one in particular for the criticisms received?

In short, that instant shock (but that lasts in our mind) is what they produce the photographs of this shocking and terrifying campaign that seeks us to be aware of the dangers of children surfing the Internet without control. Will they have succeeded, or will only cause us a few bad dreams?
