UNICEF indicates that in India, the rate of child malnutrition is higher than that of the African continent

When the third world countries mention us on occasion, the various countries that make up the African continent come to mind, when we talk about child malnutrition, some of the countries that are usually mentioned most popularly are Ethiopia or Somalia. However, the reality is that the king country in terms of child malnutrition levels is India.

As the Ministry of Health of India tells us in a report that has been supported by UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), the country has a higher rate of child malnutrition than the one presented by the African continent, despite the fact that in India there are better infrastructure and greater economic capacity, "we must not forget that for nuclear research or to build their borders if there are means". Up to 46% of children in that country with an age of less than 3 years are malnourished, this fact is surprising and suggests the little effort made by the Indian government to alleviate the situation. In sub-Saharan Africa, with lower resources and resources, they have 35% of malnourished children and if we mention Ethiopia, their situation is around 40% of child malnutrition and it must be taken into account that it is a country that has scarce resources and poverty extreme

The root of the problem lies in the food quality and the frequency with which Indian children eat, and it is not only a matter of filling their bellies so that they do not feel hungry, perhaps the Indian authorities should conduct nutritional education campaigns to reduce As far as possible this situation. In fact, poor health and nutritional knowledge result in a higher infant mortality rate.

It must also be said that the enormous effort developed by some NGOs has achieved that this rate of malnutrition and infant mortality does not go further.
