Highlights in Babies and more: April 19-25

Like every Monday, we review the most outstanding contents in Babies and more from the last week. We had a little of everything and everything very interesting.

In our Special on Infant Feeding we continue to analyze the dietary foods of babies one by one. In the last days we have talked about the vegetables that are introduced in the infant feeding from the 12 months and of the meats in the infantile feeding, on which we will continue speaking in detail throughout this week.

Within a few days Mother's Day is celebrated, so our contents are aimed at giving you ideas to honor mom in her day. We have suggested some proposals for gifts for the future mom, we also tell you that you can surprise her in her day with flowers of cookie, with matching bracelets for the mother and daughter or with a plasticine flower made by the kids.

Of course, the essence of such a special day is transmitted by the stories of beautiful mothers that have been sent to us (and that continue to arrive). They are very sweet stories that tell us about a bond that will never disappear, of a day with the baby, that motherhood is not pursued, is received and a mother tells us that she has learned to feel unconditional love.

As for our usual contents about the world of baby, motherhood and childhood, we have talked about the benefits of music for the little ones. You can consult part I and II of The Mozart Effect, music for babies.

On breastfeeding, a topic that we often discuss in the blog, we have wondered if breast milk could cure cancer, an idea that arises from new discoveries that have come to light.

We also talk about the so-called "high demand babies". On this occasion, following some comments received on what this denomination refers to, we have explained how the term was born.

We cannot put aside the sleep of babies, one of the issues that most concern parents. From my own experience with my 6-month-old baby, I wanted to find out why the baby wakes up at night more than before?

We always keep you up to date on the health of children. We have heard this week the news of the preventive withdrawal of the Rotarix vaccine, one of the vaccines marketed in Spain against rotavirus.

Last but not least, we have talked about children and sharing. It is a hot topic in the socialization of children. One point of view on the subject is that children have to share, if they want.

This week we have prepared many more interesting things.
