Easter holidays in Seville with children

The big days of Holy Week are approaching in Seville, one of the most requested destinations to spend these dates. Here we leave some plans to do with children during Holy Week in Seville and we hope you enjoy this week and next, for those who continue on vacation.

  • Seville is enjoyed simply by walking its streets and neighborhoods. We can not miss the riverbank and the bridges of the Guadalquivir, stroll through the popular neighborhood of Triana, the historic neighborhood of Santa Cruz ...

  • Another essential visit is María Luisa Park, which is an anniversary. In the spectacular Plaza de España and surprises await us in every corner of the Park. We can go from a boat trip to chase the pigeons in the Plaza de América or go up to "Mount Gurugú" to see a waterfall. There are two especially interesting stops (and free): the Museum of Popular Arts and Customs (in the beautiful Mudéjar pavilion of the 1929 Ibero-American Exhibition) and the Archaeological Museum (in the Fine Arts Pavilion).

  • Also in Seville Cathedral you have to look for the Giraldillo and the older ones can climb the Giralda, the most emblematic monument of the city. Next, the Palace and the majestic Gardens of the Alcazar await us.

  • In The golden tower The Naval Museum (free) awaits us with a sample of models, engravings, navigation instruments, sea charts, historical curiosities ...

  • The Museum of Fine Arts of Seville includes among its educational programs family visits, with interesting proposals for children to enjoy art in the museum.

  • Horse carriage rides They are possible in many tourist places of the city, next to the Giralda, the Torre del Oro, the Plaza de España ... It is something that children like very much but depending on the luck we have the price can be quite expensive.

  • As we told you when talking about the best theme parks, Isla Mágica opens on April 19 (April 20, 26 and 27 and as of May extends its schedule). There children find possibilities for continuous fun.

  • In the Navigation Pavilion We have two interesting quotes to go with the children: "Groove the story with the Clicks", through which the famous dolls take us through the history of navigation. And we will also know the secrets of the pharaohs in the Abu Simbel Temple, a small-scale reproduction of the famous temple commissioned by Ramses II in 1284 B.C.

  • Another interesting option is to know Seville by the hand of a theatrical route special for families. With Gulliver in Seville, a cast of actors who surprise the little ones playing characters like Pedro I, Alfonso X or Hercules himself, founder of the city. They have different routes, including one dedicated to Holy Week.

With so many plans you won't stop a minute in your Easter holidays in Seville with children. I hope you enjoy them and tell us on the way back! And to those of you who have girls, if you got rid of buying a Sevillana outfit ...
