The funny pregnancy announcement that has been made viral by its history behind the photo

Today it is fashionable to see amazing and original pregnancy announcements on all social networks, a nice way to share the joy that gives us to learn that we will be mothers and fathers.

There are those who put a lot of effort and dedication, such as those who organize a meeting to announce it or hire a professional photographer to do a photo shoot. Others opt for something simple and traditional, such as a photo of the parents with the ultrasound image.

But without a doubt the ones that excite us the most are those of couples for whom to get pregnant seemed impossible, such as those who for some reason fail to conceive alone and require treatments such as in vitro fertilization, or those who for some medical condition were told that they would not be able to have children and yet the test is positive.

The latter was what happened to a young couple formed by Todd Krieg and Amanda Diesen of Ohio, who recently announced that they will be parents for the first time. It might look like the photograph of any young couple announcing that they are pregnant, but the image, which has now gone viral, has a whole history behind it.

Amanda and Todd met in 2015 when she worked as a therapist at a paralysis recovery center in California. He was a professional motocross rider and he had had an accident that had left him paralyzed from the chest down a few years before, which is why he had moved there. Both were attracted and began a relationship. When Todd finished his treatments and returned to Ohio, Amanda followed.

The couple planned to marry, but the pregnancy took them by surprise. "We were definitely not trying to have a baby. We wanted to get engaged, get married and then start trying after a few years", declares Amanda in an interview for Today.

The couple found out about the pregnancy in December, something that surprised them and left them shocked, because according to the doctors, having children naturally would be almost impossible because of Todd's paralysis. They were even told that using other methods, such as in vitro fertilization, their chances would be very few.

To announce their pregnancy, the couple organized a photo shoot. Amanda sought inspiration on the internet to create a fun ad that was with the personality of both and that reflected their sense of humor. He found some where the parents jokingly put phrases like "I did this!", So they decided to make their announcement with the same theme.

The end result was the image that has gone viral, in which Amanda appears standing, smiling distressed holding the ultrasound image and Todd sitting in his chair making a joke and raises his thumb up while on the wall the background reads "It still works".

Humor for them has been key to dealing with the most difficult parts of Todd's condition.

"We are two of the funniest people when we are together. The announcement is something immature and a bit inappropriate, but everyone secretly loves those things. I feel that our story is unique and inspiring, and I hope it gives hope to someone else who is looking for love, that literally can happen in the most unexpected places with the most unexpected person, so be open to change"declares Todd.

The couple's happiness continues, since on February 14 they discovered that they would have a child And they shared this exciting news on Amanda's Instagram account:

It is always very nice to read stories of couples who despite having an unfavorable prognosis or with little chance of achieving it, announce their pregnancies with great joy. What do you think of her story and the announcement of her pregnancy?
