"Genealogy of a witch": beautiful edition for children

In these days when the proximity of Halloween makes us talk about ghosts and pumpkins, we are going to meet a very special witch. Today in our section of children's books we stop at a title that, apart from its content, captivates by its presentation. Our companion Magalí in Blank Paper recommends us a delicious edition for curious children of the work "Genealogía de una bruja".

It has recently been put up for sale in a beautiful collector's case that contains two books: "The little witch" and "Witches and Spells." The first is much more childish than that of "Witches and spells", with a simpler vocabulary. It is a traditional children's album, in regards to the text and the layout of the book. It comes with full-page illustrations and elegant typography.

In this title we meet Lisbeth, a girl different from the others who, thanks to an old book she finds in the grandmother's attic, discovers that she herself belongs to a long genealogy of witches. As we see, a story of magic that promises to activate the imagination of children.

"Witches and Spells", encyclopedic in both language and what it narrates, it is not so suitable for small readers, because it is also dotted with truculent details. In fact, the authors point out that they have made a "text accessible to children", rather than a purely childish text. Of course, the careful binding and all the details that it incorporates makes us feel before an old book.

The books are edited by Edelvives, and for the moment it will be put up for sale in the collector's box. I would be attentive if later only "The little witch" comes out. As we see, "Genealogy of a witch" goes far beyond a children's book to use This is a project illustrated by Benjamin Lacombe and written in collaboration with Sébastien Perez.
